John Maine is fast becoming a Shea Stadium favorite. The pitcher joined the New York Mets in 2006 after the Baltimore Orioles traded him and Jorge Julio for Kris Benson. Maine went 6-5 with a 3.60 ERA in 15 starts in his debut season for the Mets, showing flashes of dominance that included a stretch of 26 scoreless innings pitched and an all-important Game Six NLCS win over the Cardinals. Maine went 4-0 in April 2007 and on April 7, 2007 flirted with a no-hitter against the Marlins, achievements that earned him National League Pitcher of the Month honors. John Maine has hand-signed this game used baseball from his 7 and 2/3 inning no hitter. Maine has added the inscription ”7 2/3 No Hi.” A MLB Authentic Hologram is included.
